This page lets you create, edit, and delete the official filter flags used across the entire site.
Important Note About Flag Systems:
There are TWO different flag systems on the site:
• study_flags table (managed here) = permanent official flags used everywhere.
• rq_grok_flag_ids column in the review_queue table = temporary flags generated by Grok when summarizing studies.
When you click “Add to Queue” on a study:
• The study is inserted into the review_queue table.
• Any Grok-generated flags are saved in the rq_grok_flag_ids column (so they can be displayed on the Review Studies page).
• The permanent study_flags junction table is NOT automatically updated at this step.
Those flags are added when you manually approve a study on the Review Studies page.
Step-by-Step Guide
Add a New Flag
Click the big “Add New Flag” button at the top. Enter a unique Flag Name and an optional Description, then click Save Flag.
Edit an Existing Flag
Click the Edit button on any row. You can change the flag name or description. Click Save Flag when finished.
Delete a Flag
Click the Edit button on the flag you want to delete, then click the red Delete Flag button. This will permanently remove the flag and all its associations with studies.
Important Notes
• Flag names must be unique.
• Deleting a flag will remove it from all studies that were using it.
• These flags are used globally across all projects in the Review Studies page.
