Step-by-Step Guide

1. Fill in your details
Choose a username, enter your email, and create a password. A phone number is optional but highly recommended for better security.

Security recommendations:
• Email (required) → Used for account emails and password reset.
• Phone number (optional but strongly recommended) → Enables SMS two-factor authentication (2FA). This makes your account much more secure than using only a username and password.

We encourage you to add your phone number during or after registration to turn on 2FA.

2. Project Name
Create a name for your project. Your project will be reviewed and activated by an admin. Once activated, you can begin curating studies and share them with the public.

3. Project Focus / Description
Describe the main topic or scientific focus of your project in your own words. This description is very important — it acts as the primary filter that helps determine which studies are relevant to your project.

On the registration form you will see a button labeled “Improve Project Focus with Grok” next to the Project Focus box. Clicking this button takes the text you have written and rewrites it to be clearer, more specific, and more effective for filtering studies. You can click it as many times as you like to refine the description before submitting your registration.

4. Your project’s Grok (xAI) key
There is no project fee. After you create the project, open Manage Projects and click Get your Grok key, then paste that one key. Buy more credits uses the same key — do not create a new one. The site administrator then activates the project. Searching studies does not need a key.

5. After you submit
We review your project request. If approved, an admin activates it and you can log in and start curating. Phone number is optional (recommended later for SMS login codes).

6. Submit for Approval
Click “Submit for Approval”. Your account and project request will be reviewed by our team.

7. What happens next?
Once approved, you’ll receive access and can log in normally. We’ll contact you if we need any additional information.
